About Me

Hi, I’m Janelle.  I’m blessed to be a mom of two amazing little boys and I also am fortunate enough to have met my perfect match in this world, aka my husband.  In the past I have worked in commercial real estate, finance and banking.  Now I am lucky enough to stay home with my kids.

I am too loud, too sensitive and think too much.  I’ve overcome a lot of emotional crap in my life and believe that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger – or wiser at the very least.  If you’re not learning from the uncomfortable things then you are missing the point!  I spend my spare time reading anything I can get my hands on about holistic health and natural living.  I can’t live without running, boxing and burpees.

After my first son was born with complications which resulted in years of medications and now allergies and asthma, I have become enlightened to the importance of natural living in these modern times.  Too often we resort to over the counter medications or fast foods to make our lives easier, yet most people are unaware at how dangerous these habits can be, especially for our little ones!  It is my hope that the information I share will help change people’s lives for the better.

On this blog you will find my tips on running a healthy and chemical-free household.  I share allergy-friendly recipes, health research, essential oil uses and DIY beauty and personal care recipes.

  1. I am proud of you for stepping up and eliminating (being more aware) of what is considered safe by American standards/government. I have been following the “Food Babe” lately. I am a-gasped at what fast food chains can sell for consumption in America but don’t include in the recipes over seas. Good luck on the continued journey and discovery of the world of chemicals. Best of health to you and your family with the wise life style choices you are the forerunner with.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! I also follow the Food Babe. It’s difficult to eat out or purchase convenience foods after knowing what is in them. Thank goodness for the internet so that those of us who care can help spread the word. 🙂
